She has traveled the world, defied the odds, and developed a sense of humor about life and its many challenges. Melissa Ortiz is a disability rights advocate who has worked with Democrats and Republicans on behalf of Americans with Disabilities. She was appointed by President Trump to serve as Commissioner of the Administration on Disabilities in 2017.
