Harvard University President Claudine Gay resigned Tuesday amid plagiarism accusations and criticism over testimony at a congressional hearing about antisemitism. One of the academics Gay is accused of plagiarizing from is Carol Swain, a political scientist and legal scholar. Swain claims Gay failed to credit her book “Black Faces, Black Interests” as well as an article she published in 1997. Swain says she is “disappointed” in Gay’s statement Tuesday and called her resignation letter “inadequate.”
